How to use the Yoga Sequence Builder
Quick start
- Browse the pose library — search by name or id and filter by category and level.
- Add poses to your sequence; reorder, adjust per-pose holds and set the number of rounds.
- Press Start to run the sequence as a step-through timer with audio beeps between poses.
- Give the sequence a name and press Save to keep it in your browser for next time.
Pose library
The library holds 85 asanas across six categories (standing, seated, balance, inversion, floor, relaxation) and three levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Every pose shows a short alignment cue. Search matches the pose name and id; the category and level filters combine, so balance + advanced shows only advanced balance poses.
Sequence builder
Poses are added in the order you add them. Use the up and down buttons to reorder, edit any pose's hold (5 to 600 seconds), and set the global round count (1 to 50). The total duration updates live as you edit. Clear all empties the sequence after a confirmation.
Run mode
Start only works with at least one pose in the sequence. During a run, the app shows the current pose, its cue and a countdown to the next pose, and plays a short beep at every pose change (3 beeps at completion). Press Stop at any time to end the run; Start is always available again afterwards.
Your data
Saved sequences are stored only in your browser's local storage on this device. There is no account, no server and no network traffic while the app runs — after the first load the whole app works offline.
Safety
The cues are general alignment guidance, not medical advice. Move at your own pace, stop if anything hurts, and consult a qualified professional if you have a health condition.
Use cases
Real situations this tool is built for — pick the one that sounds like you.
-
Build a beginner flow from the library
As a new practitioner I can filter the 85-pose library to beginner level, add poses I can do today, and run a first flow on my phone.
-
Practice a saved sequence offline
I save my evening sequence once and it loads from the browser anywhere — couch, studio, airplane — with no network.
-
Fit the same sequence into 15 minutes
I override each pose to 20 s and set 2 rounds so the identical sequence serves a lunch-break practice.
-
Look up a pose cue before class
I open the library, search a pose, and read the short alignment cue before practicing.
-
Share a sequence as plain text
I copy my sequence to the clipboard and paste it into a message for my students.
