When to use Clock
Common ways to use the six modes of Clock:
-
Run a Pomodoro focus sprint
Start a deep-work block and let the app alternate focus and break intervals automatically, with a long break after every fourth session.
-
Count down to a meeting
Pick the 15-minute preset, start the timer, and leave the tab open. You get an audible alert, a full-screen notice, and the remaining time in the tab title.
-
Set morning alarms
Create repeatable weekday and weekend alarms with labels. They stay saved in your browser and fire with a tone and a dismissible overlay while the page is open.
-
Time gym intervals with laps
Start the stopwatch, record a lap after each interval, and read the table to see your fastest and slowest splits at a glance.
-
Check your team's time zones
Add colleagues' cities to the world clock, compare local times with day/night indicators, and copy a share link that restores the same view.
Clock FAQ
- What modes does Clock include?
- Six: Clock (live local time with date), Focus Sessions (Pomodoro), Timer (countdown with presets), Alarm (repeatable alarms), Stopwatch (with laps), and World Clock (multi-city display).
- Do alarms still ring if I close the browser?
- No. Alarms fire while the page is open in your browser. Alarms, cities, and settings are saved in your browser's local storage, so they are still there when you return โ but the browser must be open for them to sound.
- Is any of my data sent to a server?
- No. All timers, alarms, cities, and preferences are stored only in your browser's local storage. No account and no network calls are required for any feature.
- Why did my countdown lose accuracy after a while?
- It did not. The countdown is timestamp-stamped against the system clock, so it stays accurate even when the tab is backgrounded or the laptop sleeps. If the display looks wrong right after the computer wakes, it corrects within one second.
- Can I use it on my phone?
- Yes. The layout is mobile-first: the sidebar becomes a bottom tab bar, touch targets are at least 44 pixels, and all six modes are fully usable at 375 pixels wide. Grant notifications permission to get background alerts.
Clock Help

Your data
Alarms, cities, and settings are saved only in your browser's local storage. The page makes no network requests after it loads, so nothing you enter ever leaves your device.
