Screen Recorder
Record your screen, voice, and system audio in your browser — then download the video locally.
Everything stays on your device: capture, mixing, and trimming are processed entirely in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. Clips exist only for the current page session and are cleared when you reload. Standard site analytics may still load on production pages. While you share, your browser's own screen-share indicator applies.
Screen recorder
Choose what to capture and which audio to mix in, then pick a screen, window, or tab from your browser's screen picker. The video is recorded locally and saved only when you download it.
Your recordings
No recordings yet Each time you stop, a new clip appears here. Clips stay in this tab only — they are cleared when you reload the page.
What you can do with the screen recorder
A few everyday situations this tool is built for.
-
Record a screen walkthrough with voice narration
Explain a tool or a process step by step: pick the screen, keep the microphone on, record, stop, and download a ready-to-share video — all without leaving the browser.
-
Choose exactly what gets recorded
Record a single window with only its system audio, or the whole screen with your voice and the system sound mixed together. The audio selector makes sure nothing unwanted lands in the file.
-
Record with a webcam bubble
Get the classic “screen + face” layout: enable the camera bubble and your webcam is composited into the recorded file itself, in the corner with a visible border.
-
Keep several takes in one session
Record as many takes as you need without reloading. Each clip stays independently playable, downloadable, and trimmable until you delete it or clear the list.
-
Pause, time, and trim a clip before sharing
Pause mid-capture to catch your breath, check the elapsed time, then cut the intro and export a shorter, share-ready file — no external editor required.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my screen recording uploaded anywhere?
- No. Capture, audio mixing, and trimming all happen locally in your browser. The video file is created only in memory and saved to your device when you press “Download original” or “Export trimmed”.
- Which file format do I get?
- The tool records in MP4 (H.264/AAC) when your browser supports it, and falls back to WebM (VP8/VP9 video, Opus audio) where it prefers that. The downloaded file's extension always matches the actual recorded format.
- How does the system audio option work?
- When you pick “System audio only” or “Microphone + system audio”, the app asks the browser to include the screen's audio in the share. If your browser or operating system does not provide it (some setups never do), you get a clear notice and the recording continues with the microphone only.
- Does the camera bubble appear in the downloaded video?
- Yes. When “Show camera” is enabled, the webcam is composited into the recorded file itself as a corner bubble with a visible border — not just shown in the app preview.
- Where are my clips stored, and when do they disappear?
- Clips exist only in the current page session — they are kept in memory, never uploaded, and are cleared when you reload the page. When you want to keep a recording, download it first.
How to use the screen recorder
This tool records your screen (or a window or tab) together with microphone and system audio, entirely in your browser. No uploads, no account — the video is saved only when you download it.
How it works
- Pick the audio mix — microphone only, system audio only, both, or none — and optionally enable the camera bubble.
- Press “Choose screen & audio” and select the screen, window, or tab to record from your browser's screen picker.
- Start recording, and pause or resume any time. The timer shows the elapsed time, excluding paused time.
- Stop when done — the clip appears in the list with a playable preview, its duration, and its actions.
- Download the original, or set a trim range and export a shorter file. Delete clips or clear the whole list when you are done.
Tips
- If your browser offers a “share audio” option in the picker, turn it on for system audio modes.
- Trim times use mm:ss (or hh:mm:ss) and must fall within the clip's duration.
- The camera bubble is composited into the recorded file itself, so it shows up in the downloaded video, not only in the app preview.
