Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I add a timezone?
- Click the 'Add Timezone' button or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+K. Search for a city or timezone by typing its name, then click to add it. You can also use the 'Detect my location' button to add your current timezone.
- What is the Meeting Finder feature?
- Meeting Finder shows you the overlapping business hours (9 AM - 5 PM) across all your selected timezones. Click the 'Meeting Finder' button to see a visual timeline of when all participants are within working hours, making it easy to schedule calls and meetings.
- How do I share my timezone configuration?
- Click the 'Share' button to copy a URL to your clipboard. This URL contains your current timezone configuration, so anyone who opens it will see the same set of clocks you've set up. Great for sharing with colleagues or saving your favorite setup.
- Does this work offline?
- The World Clock Dashboard works fully offline after the initial page load. Your timezone selections are saved in your browser's local storage, so they'll persist even if you close and reopen the page. However, time accuracy depends on your device's system clock.
- How accurate are the times?
- The times displayed are as accurate as your device's system clock. We use the browser's built-in Intl.DateTimeFormat API which handles timezone conversions, daylight saving time changes, and other regional time adjustments automatically.
