Chronometer FAQ
- How do I use the chronometer?
- Press Start to begin timing, use Lap to record splits while it runs, and press Stop to pause. Reset clears the timer and all recorded laps.
- Does the chronometer save or upload my times?
- The chronometer itself runs locally in your browser and does not save or upload timer or lap data. If you want to keep results, copy them or download the CSV yourself. Standard site analytics may still load on production pages.
- What happens when I press Lap?
- Each lap records both the split since the previous lap and the total elapsed time, so you can compare segments and overall pace.
- Can I export or copy my lap data?
- Yes. Use Copy laps to place the lap table on the clipboard or Download CSV to save the data as chronometer-laps.csv.
- Do keyboard shortcuts work?
- Yes. When focus is inside the chronometer, Space starts or stops the timer, L records a lap, and R resets the tool.
